Team event in Zurich: what each workshop costs
From a CHF 70 painting evening to a CHF 185 cooking class: real per-person prices for six workshop types in Zurich, and what a team of twelve should budget.

The short answer
A workshop team event in Zurich costs between about CHF 70 and CHF 185 per person, depending on the craft. Painting evenings are the cheapest, cooking classes the most expensive, but they include dinner. For a team of twelve, plan roughly CHF 840 to CHF 2,220 before drinks and extras.
These are medians of the per-person prices Zurich providers list on Atelo for public workshops of up to five hours, as of October 2026. Private group offers can differ, so use them as a starting point for a quote.
Six formats, six price levels
Painting evening: around CHF 70 per person, about 2 hours. The cheapest and easiest to scale. Everyone takes a canvas home the same night.
Jewellery workshop: around CHF 120, about 3.5 to 4 hours. Small groups, focused work, a ring or pendant to keep.
Pottery workshop: around CHF 145, about 2.5 hours. Very social and tactile. Pieces are fired and ready two to four weeks later, which gives the team a reason to meet again.
Craft workshops such as candles, leather, or bookbinding: around CHF 145, about 3 hours.
Photography walk or workshop: around CHF 170, about 4 hours. Works well outdoors and for teams who like to move.
Cooking class: around CHF 185, about 4 hours. The most expensive line item, but it replaces the team dinner.
Budget examples for a team of twelve
Painting evening plus a restaurant dinner: about CHF 840 for the workshop, plus dinner. Good if the dinner is the main event.
Pottery workshop plus apéro: about CHF 1,740 for the workshop. Good if you want something everyone talks about for weeks.
Cooking class as the whole evening: about CHF 2,220. Looks expensive, but there is no separate dinner bill, so it often ends up cheaper than workshop plus restaurant.
How to turn these numbers into a quote
Send the provider your head count, a preferred weekday, and your budget per person. Ask whether the price is per person or a flat group rate and what the minimum group size is. If you are below the minimum, booking seats in a public workshop together can be cheaper.
Tuesday to Thursday evenings are usually easiest to get, and ask early for December: Christmas party season fills studios months ahead.
